Taja “Lady J” Jacobs is Chief Sustainability Officer for Celebrity’s Soul Food. Lady J founded the company with her husband, Dr. Fredrick Jacobs.
Lady J’s achievements in the food service space include launching three restaurant concepts, increasing revenue by more than 150% over the course of a single year, and offering executive catering services to numerous celebrities, such as Steve Harvey, Kirk Franklin, Fantasia, SWV, Stoney Jackson, Monica, Warren G, Flex Alexander, Shanice Wilson, and Ashanti. She also has established experience in restaurant franchising and real estate development.
Prior to founding and spearheading Celebrity’s Soul Food, Lady J served in corporate, real estate, and entrepreneurial capacities for more than 20 years. Her experience includes corporate human resources, management, outplacement, and customer service management. She also mastered associated subcategories, such as budgeting, forecasting, and training.
In addition to working alongside her husband with the restaurant business, Lady J serves as co-host for their talk show, “Dr. J the Counselor.” The relationship-focused program airs on Stevie Wonder's Los Angeles-based radio station, KJLH 102.3. She is co-author of the soon-to-be-released book “Do I Want to Stay Married?” Jacobs is also a practicing pastor and leads the movement of Never Too Busy To Pray, a weekly invocation that airs live on Facebook and YouTube.
